What to Do If Your AC Isn’t Working After a Power Outage
Power outages can sometimes cause temporary issues with your air conditioning system. If your AC isn’t cooling properly after the power returns, don’t worry—this is usually an easy fix.
Please follow these simple steps:
Turn Off the AC
Locate your thermostat and switch off the air conditioning unit.
Wait 30 Seconds
Keep the AC turned off for at least 30 seconds. This pause allows the system to reset properly.
Turn It Back to Cool
After 30 seconds, set your thermostat back to Cool mode and select your desired temperature.
Most of the time, this reset process restores the AC system to normal operation.
